Jesus Contreras is a Los Angeles–based street photographer whose work explores migration, identity, and collective resistance. The son of immigrants, his visual practice centers the stories of communities impacted by detention, deportation, and displacement - reimagining narratives of justice and belonging in America.
His photography creates a visual archive of resilience and solidarity among the communities he stands alongside.
Contreras holds a B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Chicana/o/e Studies from California State University, Fullerton. His work has been featured by organizations including Immigrant Defenders Law Center, This Is About Humanity, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California and exhibited in community spaces across Los Angeles.
